The idea, plans and design for Teachers Village are a product of several talented individuals and firms who collaborated over several years to create this new community. Teachers Village will be a model for Newark’s long-term vision of attracting and retaining its current and future workforce through high quality design and amenities. The Teachers Village Team includes:

Lead Developer

Ron Beit is founding partner and CEO of RBH Group and Principal of RBH Management, LLC. Ron has acquired, developed, rehabilitated and/or operated over 1 million square feet of existing commercial and residential real estate in numerous projects in three states, as well as over 6 million additional developable square feet in institutional grade sites throughout downtown, Newark, NJ. Ron’s professional passion is in Newark, where he has been active in helping the city become New Jersey’s business and entertainment capital and a downtown 24 hour, 7 day a week attraction. RBH Group has acquired through 30 transactions, over 79 properties in Newark’s downtown core.

Lead Architect

Richard Meier, Architect.  Aspiring to create thoughtful contemporary architecture that is both elegant, economical and sustainable, In over four decades, Richard Meier & Partners has built such signature projects as the Getty Center in Los Angeles, Federal Courthouses on Long Island and in Phoenix, the Jubilee Church in Rome, and the iconic Charles and Perry Street Towers in New York City.  He has won multiple national and international awards for his work. With offices in New York and Los Angeles, Richard Meier & Partners designed the residential development at Teachers Village.

School Architect

KSS Architects is a full-service architecture, planning and interior design firm with offices in Philadelphia and Princeton, NJ.  Since its founding in 1983, KSS has built an award-winning portfolio of work for clients who are leaders in education, commercial real estate, industrial development and corporate environments. The firm designed Building 5, the interior of Building 2 and interior and exterior of Building 8 in the Teachers Village project.
